Fortunately we are not camping.
Rv door latch stuck.
The door latch is stuck in the locked position.
Rv door locks are a hard to find item.
Thanks again for your post.
Of course this is after you ve managed to open the storage compartment door.
If you own an rv it certainly needs to have a tight security feature to prevent any unauthorized entry forced or otherwise and subsequent theft.
Barring this after discussing this with many other camper who had this problem the last resort is to call a locksmith to unlock the door.
We carry compartment baggage passage door travel trailer cam locks and lock and rv door latches and accessories.
The door has some jiggle room but one of the latches is still extended far enough to be catching on the door jam.
We are locked out of rv.
Most rv windows just have a swivel type latch on them and you can use a thin blade to slide it open.
The keys for the dead bolt and the latch handle are functional.
If you cannot rack or twist the door a little to release that stuck latch your solution of removing the screws might be the better way to go to avoid damaging the door or the center lock assembly.
Ensuring the security of your rv falls on the shoulders of the owner.
Let us know how it works out.
